Junip
Clean Size Charts connects to Junip so the fit feedback already sitting in your reviews turns into sizing insights and fit notes. Once connected, Clean Size Charts imports your Junip reviews, reads each one for sizing language, and shows you which products run small or large, where fit complaints cluster, and which of those products still have no size chart. Products with enough consistent feedback get a fit note on the product page. This guide walks you through connecting Junip and putting the results to work.
Before you start
- You need a Junip account and a user who can approve app access for it.
- Connecting is available on every Clean Size Charts plan. Sizing Insights and Fit Notes, the features that use the imported reviews, are included in the Plus plan.
- Fit signals come from written review text and, if your review form asks one, from a sizing question. Star ratings on their own carry no sizing information, so stores whose reviews are mostly ratings without comments or a sizing question will see fewer results.
Connect Junip
Open the integration: In your Shopify admin, open the Clean Size Charts app, go to Integrations, then select Junip.
Start the connection: Click Connect. You are sent to Junip to approve access.
Approve access: Review the requested permissions and approve. Clean Size Charts asks only to read your reviews. It never creates, edits, replies to, or deletes reviews.
Wait for the first import: You are returned to Clean Size Charts, the Junip card shows Connected, and your published reviews begin importing in the background. On a store with a few hundred reviews this takes a few minutes. Larger catalogs take longer.
Choose your sizing question
If your Junip review form asks customers how an item fits, Clean Size Charts reads those answers directly, alongside the review text. Stores using Junip's Sizing template are detected automatically and the question is selected for you. To use a different question, or none, open the Junip integration page in Clean Size Charts and change the selection. The change applies from the next nightly update.
What you get
Sizing Insights: Go to Analytics, then Sizing Insights. Each product with enough fit feedback gets a verdict (runs small, true to size, or runs large), the split of reviews behind that verdict, the sizes customers mention, and the things they bring up most often. The page also tracks your fit-complaint trend over time and separates complaints on products that have a size chart from complaints on products that do not, so you can see where a chart would help most.
Fit notes: When a product has at least 10 fit signals and at least 60 percent of them point the same way, Clean Size Charts publishes a short note on the product page, for example "Customers say this runs small. Consider sizing up." Products whose reviewers disagree get no note, so shoppers are never shown weak guidance.
Show fit notes on your storefront
- In Clean Size Charts, open Style & Placement and choose how fit notes look. The preview shows what shoppers will see.
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store, then Themes, then Customize. Open a product template, click Add block, choose Fit Notes, position the block where you want it, and save.
Fit notes are published during the nightly update, so allow up to 24 hours after connecting before checking a product page.
Keep data current
Clean Size Charts checks Junip for new and updated reviews every night. A review left today affects your insights and fit notes after the next nightly update, so allow up to 24 hours. There is nothing to sync by hand.
Disconnect Junip
Open the Junip integration in Clean Size Charts and click Disconnect. Clean Size Charts removes the connection, deletes the imported review data, and takes down any fit notes it published to your storefront. Nothing changes in Junip. Your reviews there stay exactly as they are. To remove the app from your Junip account as well, uninstall it from the Integrations section of your Junip admin.
Troubleshooting and support
- The Junip approval screen shows an error: Make sure you are signed in to the Junip account for this store, then start the connection again from the Integrations page.
- Clean Size Charts says this Junip account is not linked to your store: The Junip account you approved belongs to a different store. Sign in to the Junip account for this store and connect again.
- No products show a verdict: The first import may still be running, or your reviews may not contain written comments about sizing. Products need written fit language or sizing-question answers, not just star ratings.
- A product with many reviews has no fit note: This is usually correct. A product needs at least 10 fit signals with at least 60 percent agreement on one direction. Open the product in Sizing Insights to see its current split.
- Fit notes show in Clean Size Charts but not on the product page: Confirm the Fit Notes block is added to the product template and saved, then allow one nightly update.
- A new review is not reflected: Reviews are checked nightly. Allow up to 24 hours, then confirm the Junip card still shows Connected. Reconnect if it does not.
